Public Power Week is October 6-12. This week, we celebrate the many advantages of a local utility in our hometown. Lodi Utilities is one of about 2,000 not-for-profit, community-owned electric utilities across the country. We operate as a public service, with a mission to provide reliable electricity at the lowest cost possible while protecting our environment. Lodi Utilities offers many advantages to our community:
-
Local Community Support. Lodi Utilities is proud to contribute to the economic vitality of our community by providing jobs, purchasing locally, offering shared services, and making payments in lieu of taxes.
-
Lower Electric Rates. Our not-for-profit rates hold down your business costs and are lower than those of neighboring utilities. Because we don't pay dividends to stockholders, we can keep your rates low. Our returns go right back into the community.
-
Local Service. We’re just down the road. And we have a strong track record of keeping the power on and restoring it as soon as possible.
We take pride in providing Lodi with reliable power, friendly hometown service and local control. Join us in celebrating Public Power! We’ll be giving away some great freebies, including winter hats and ball caps—available while supplies last. In addition, we’re offering opportunities to win fabulous prizes during the month of October!
