On July 23, 2025, Lodi Utilities submitted an application to adjust water rates with the Public Service Commission (PSC). The utility is seeking to increase rates for the following reasons:
- Convert the remaining municipal charge for public fire protection to a user charge
- Maintain infrastructure
- Adjust to increasing operations and maintenance expenses
In the coming months, the PSC will review the application and set the rates. It is anticipated that the PSC will open a public comment period and hold a public hearing 5-6 months from the application filing date. Once the PSC creates the customer notice, a more formal customer notice will be sent with the PSC determination and public hearing information.
